Jayels family puts energy in their dreams each day of every year, in 2004 a few months after it was started. Jayels family was nominated as the best underground group in “chaguo la teneez” (kenya) performing "Kamtotoo" their first recorded single by Pasta Sayaa also known as Sazo in a local studio "Mtaa entertainment" in a town called Kawangware somewhere in Nairobi Kenya.
2005 Jayels family did not do too much publicly because most of its members were concentrating on their studies for the year was the last one of their high school. This did not stop them from composing more songs.
Right in the beginning of 2006 they did another single called "zimeshika" in Jomino records then a few months later they did its video. Jayels family kept doing many records with deferent studios like "Calif records", "Next level production" and many more. Before these records were done, it was early 2007.
In the beginning of 2007, Jean the hustla went to Canada to study more about music production and art-work in general in order to make his talent a profession. His departure weakened the jayels family in Kenya but it managed to survive the impact because there are still dedicated members still pushing the name and its activities. When Jean the hustla arrived to Canada he dint stop the road he started 3years before. He kept expanding the name and there were a couple of guys who joined Jayels family as new members in Canada (Diddo the black and Scratch the Dj.) Jayels family passed through many hardships due to unexpected matters in Canadian music industry, making the year 2007 a waste but they named this year "Learn then do" because they were stranded with no one to turn to. Thereafter they decided to do everything for themselves simply because every studio which approached them wanted to sign them but their contracts were totally opposite to their future plans. They kept fighting making its motto their shield.
2008 was a hard working year, putting every penny together to build own studio finally they opened J.F Sounds and J.F images then started dropping their singles one by one. Jayels family called the year 2008 "Back to the starting point" because they were ready to perform in any place as long as there was a performance taking place and they did this without asking any penny because getting paid was not their priority at that moment. They promoted themselves through the internet until Canada started recognizing their talents and their capabilities.
The year 2009 they called it "Time to get paid" then they started expanding all over the world. Since it was not easy to get paying shows, they organized their own shows, collected money on the door and sold T-shirt and caps as well, amazingly many people supported this action giving them encouragement then on 29th decembre Jayels family realised their first mix-tape, well done sounding like an album and they called it "Genesis chapter one" with a forever loved bonus single on this mix-tape called "Ibyiyi isi" this single is loved by all ages just because of its deep, meaningful lyrics, its flow and its peaceful beats. Many collaborations and videos were done this year of 2009.
2010 was a blessed year for the Jayels family, full of concerts and so many great opportunities. The same year they won "Msaani award 2010" crowned the best African artists in North America. This award is held in Kansas City, United states.24th December 2010 Jean the hustla realised another mix-tape called "Made in Sherbrooke" Sherbrooke is a city in Quebec, Canada and where Jayels family is based currently.
2011 they say it’s a year to give you their images in picture form and video form they don’t want any of their fan to take them as strangers anymore.
