It’s a boy! Congratulations are in order for Janet Jackson and husband Wissam Al Mana. The couple welcomed their first child, a a baby boy, on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017 and their baby boy is healthy and they are as happy as clams in a shell.
Janet is 50 years old and she gave birth to a baby boy with no issues. That’s what I call amazing, she had to be in great shape to deliver this healthy baby boy.
“Janet had a stress-free healthy delivery and is resting comfortably.”
News of the couples first child’s arrival was reported in May 2016. When Janet postponed her Unbreakable World Tour, rumors spread like wildfire that she could possible be pregnant and this time those rumors were true. When Janet cancelled her tour she said in a video posted to Twitter in early April, she and her husband wanted to focus on their family.
“We’re in the second leg of the tour, and there actually has been a sudden change,” she said in the clip. “I thought it was important that you be the first to know.”
“My husband and I are planning our family,” she continued. “So I’m going to have to delay the tour.” In October, the singer shared a baby bump photo saying, “We thank God for our blessing.”
Janet is a very private person and with her pregnancy she was extremely quiet, I don’t recall seeing her pregnant as much as I would see other celebrities pregnant. But, she was spotted running errands for baby supplies at London’s Back in Action furniture store in September and while she was out, she kept her baby bump hidden in sweatpants, a black sweater and a matching scarf. That is Janet Jackson for you, we may never see their son until maybe he is 10 years old.
We are just excited for the beautiful Grammy winner on her addition with her husband. Its not everyday a woman can carry a baby full term at age 50.
