K’Naan has always treaded the line of true African sound.
His 2009 album ‘Troubadour’ produced the anthem ‘Wavin flag’ which was eventually used as the theme song for the 2010 World Cup held in South Africa. This was his big break into the mainstream.
Three years later, the Somalia-Canadian rapper will be releasing his first EP ‘More Beautiful than Silence’ on January 24. The first single ‘Nothing to Lose’ which features fellow rapper Nas is a blend of alternative music, folklore and rap. Good listen too.
