TAP MAGAZINE -AFRICAN PERSPECTIVE MAGAZINE

THE 4Ws.

WHO
The African Perspective is an online magazine that targets all African youths, at home and in the Diaspora.  The primary goal of this medium is to bring all African youths to one cyber space where they can create, re-create and share their world. Also, since education through entertainment is the most successful way of engaging and enlightening the current generation; TAPmagazine seeks to be an entertainment hub for the African Youths.

Ras Moses Gift is the founder and the Executive CEO of TAPmagazine while Cloud Tissa and Grace Ingabire Mahogany are associate CEO’s.  More importantly, TAPmagazine is also an open space for friends of Africa and all Africans in general who are passionate about the empowerment of Africa and its people.
WHERE

TAPmagazine will be a digitally online based magazine. We will target every African youth with access to the internet. That said, we have correspondents all over the world including Kenya, South Africa, Germany, France, Rwanda, Egypt, Japan, Canada and Australia.

WHY

Reasons for an African Perspective medium are infinite. The recent events across North Africa (which has largely been only covered by popular western media and the confusion/contradicting messages that have came from these outlets) emphasises the need for an African Perspective on all issues African. Indeed, the everlasting negativity and has become synonymous to Africa in the Western media further advocates for an African Perspective hub. The world needs to know what Africans think of their issues and how they would like to deal with them. Besides, when I talk to most young African youths; they are usually very curious, energetic and extremely keen on all topics Africa; including its many daily beauties and struggles. Unfortunately, there isn’t one place/centre where all these people can build a movement!!

We want this dialogue to take place at TAPmagazine; hence we will seek to become a communication centre where this young people will meet and recoil their ideas; or simply learn from each other THROUGH their own stories. We at TAPmagazine are striving on the challenge of becoming the major media outlet for the next African generation in years to come and we invite you to come for the ride with us.

HOW

Our audiences needs will be met by initially providing a series of “African perspective” interviews, videos and investigative research on popular African topics. We will also seek the outlook of prominent African leaders, community builders, innovators, businessmen/women, celebrities, educators, musicians, entertainers, locals, athletes, politicians and anyone who is held dear by this group.

Moreover, all topics, articles, poems, videos and interviews will aim at engaging, informing and empowering the youth to rise up to the 21 century struggles of an African youth.
TAPmagazine will in addition work extensively hard and prioritise showcasing the creativity of African youths something that’s normally absent in the Western media. The following are among the topics that will be discussed.
