One of the biggest producers in the game, a sizeable chunk of that money comes from royalties earned from past royalties. However Dre's hugely successful headphone range is also responsible - last year, the producer joined Jimmy Iovine in selling a 51% stake in Beats Electronics for $309 million. The list is dominated by performers who match their musical pedigree to business acumen. Diddy sits in second place, while Jay-Z bests Kanye West in order to claim third spot on the Forbes list. Further down the list, Eminem grabs ninth place with $15 million despite barely maintaining a public profile over the past 12 months.
